In loving memory of Severus Snape.     Severus Snape grew up in a poor family. He was a half blood like Voldemort. he received his letter when he was 11 and set of for Hogwarts with Lily Evans. While on the train he received the first glance of the man who later be her husband and his greatest enemy, James Potter. When Snape arrived at Hogwarts he wanted to be a death eater, but like Voldemort he was not pure blooded,however he embraced this giving himself the name Half-Blooded-Prince. He soon found that his best qualities remained in potions instead of the dark arts, however Snape was able to invent many powerful curses. Snape grew up and reached his goal, a death eater. He soon learned that a prothecy had been made about the death of his master,that he would die of a child born at the end of July. Voldemort sent Bellatrix to destroy Neville Longbottom, but he himself to destroy Harry Potter son of James and Lily Potter. Snape's heart was broke he begged his master to spare the woman he loved. His master agreed to this promise however broke it and Snape broke his. That was Snape's last night as a true death eater. Snape went in search of Dumbledore begging him for a job at hogwarts, begging him to help him keep his love's, Lily's, son alive. He was given the job of potions master. In 1991 Harry Potter arrived at hogwarts. at the feast his eyes met Snape's. Snape saw his father but his mothers eyes, however he gave harry a cold look. Could it be he felt his Potter's had betrayed him? At the Potter's first potions class Snape pounded Potter with questions. I believe this was to see if Potter could remind him anymore of the death of his first love, Lily Potter. The years went on snape had risked his life for the boy but in 2006 dumbledore broke his heart almost as Lily's death had. Dumbledore told him the Potter was going to die and that he, Snape, must also kill Dumbledore. He did so to help Dumbledore? He did so that year. Not aware that he now owned the Elder Wand. In 2007 a war broke out at Hogwarts. The final one. Voldemort turned to Snape, Dumbledore murder and therefore the owner of the elder wand, and killed him. Lately I have asked myself why didn't Snape follow voldemort? Then I remember Voldemort was heartless and cruel, without the ability to love and Snape loved. Snape loved Harry and Lily. Snape was a loving half-blood and the first to tell Lily Evans she was a witch. So if you are thinking what is the difference between the leader and the follower than i will remind you, Bellatrix Lestrange loved Voldemort, Snape loved Lily, Mrs. and Mr Malfoy loved there son, Draco. Voldemort is was the opposite of all who love and therefore and outcast from everyone. I quote dumbledore when I say they sort to soon. Snape was the bravest of brave. Voldemort could of hacked his mind as he had done Harry. Snape risked his life to honor the dead woman he loved and in all gave it. Snape was a good, brave, and loving man. I relize now why snape never liked James Potter. He was jealous of him. He had won the girl. I imagine snape was miserable on they're wedding day and even more so the day he learned that Lily Potter was pregnant whit a son born at the end of July which fit the prophecy that the son may oppose voldemort. I imagine that he felt torn between the woman he loved and the man he obeyed. I imagine when he learned lily james potter had died try to protect her son his heart broke and he vowed to protect the Boy Who Lived. he searched for Dumbledore and when he found him spilled his hearts contents. Even though Snape was placed in the chair of head master by Voldemort and at that point in time the school was a very dark place I believe under different circumstances Snape may have come second to Dumbledore when it came to best head master. I do,however, believe he was the bravest. |
